LAND IN SIGHT
Current Austrian landscape photography
The exhibition ‘Land in sight’ brings together six contemporary Austrian photographers who are all working within the field of landscape photography. Together they contemplate the current state of what is arguably the oldest genre of photography. The works presented attempt to bridge the distance between traditional and modern landscape depiction, offering a diverse range of approaches to and perspectives on contemporary landscape.
“The land stands for what cannot be said, for space and time. The land is the skin and the soul of something huge. The land awakens new realities within us […].“
Mario Giacomelli
As the six photographers each capture the landscape which cannot be put into words they portray a broad field of sights and ideas. The works exhibited in the ‘Land in sight’ exhibition combine to explore both the physical and technical representation of landscape.
