“Mummy, Mummy – my shoe pinches so…” says little Kolja. “Don’t pay it any attention and you will soon get used to it!” Belarus is full of laughter and celebrations and yet a dull pain hangs in the air. What remains is an image of a country, a city, a life – welcoming and warm, ridged and cold. This exhibition is an attempt to trace and preserve this image. Maximilian Rosenberger
About the photographer
The work of photographer Maximilian Rosenberger (b. 1985) documents culture and normality in the reality of life in Belarus. Maximilian Rosenberger graduated from the Fotoschule Wien 2012/13 and qualified as a Master Photographer in 2013.
