“The day ends and the city lights begin their colour-game. People appear as silhouettes, blurred shadows rushing past. The lights reflected on the countless glass surfaces of window displays create enigmatic double images. The fog bathes the city in a diffused glow from which dream-like images emerge. The night sparkles in the raindrops on the roofs of cars, on the glass walls and on the wet tarmac. As snowflakes dance around the lanterns and turn the city into a winter wonderland fairy tale moments are created. My photographic journey...
... began with a small plastic camera called Lomo. However it soon had to become slides in order to present the pictures. In search of the perfect picture, with technology amorous illusions of perfection and ever better cameras, I attended courses and graduated from the Photo School Vienna where I learnt the golden rules, zone systems and hyper focal distances.
Well, the goal for the perfect image still seems as far away as at the start – but the photo hunt is more exciting than ever." Thomas Steinbichler
