In the Photo Series „Red Sea“ Photographer and Musician Maria Frodl looks into the power of imagination. A model and a red curtain are enough to trick the viewers mind into believing he is actually looking at someone swimming in the red sea. Frodl positions the naked body against the red fabric and plays with contrast, body and space. The distance and bird’s eye view help with the wanted aesthetic and the abstraction. The mix between a fixed concept and improvisation offers, in the lucky cooperation with dancer Vik Tory, exciting results. Come on and dive in!
